Extremely well written text book. Very clear and succinct but thorough. My son's 8th grade science class (NYC system) is so horrendous that I got this as a supplement. He actually learns exclusively from this, and then just goes to class for daycare (lol), because he doesn't learn much at school. I have a strong science background, so I can attest to the fact that this is a superior text.
