Great, condensed information
Don't believe it just because someone told you it is so...✓ Verified Purchase•January 5, 2018
I love the content of this book, and the break down of each item with the contraindications. It provides latin names and other names it is known by, description of each herb and what it looks like, uses, and some history. It is a regular paperback size book so it is small enough to take with you for reference. The reson for taking off one star is that I would like to see either line drawings, or actual color pictures of each item listed, but that is a personal choice. Otherwise, I have shared this book with one of the herbal groups I belong to. I would definitely recommend this book, and not just for tea making.
this book is pretty awesome and very informative

My mother-in-law had this at her house and I just had to buy it for myself - SO much information about different teas and herbs and their ailments. I only wish that the index listed actual herbs that I could look up (it very helpfully lists what you need ailments for, but SO FAR, when I've tried to find specific herbs in the index, I haven't been able to find them and end up still using Google for that situation). Either way, this book is pretty awesome and very informative. I'm learning a lot and am happy to have a guide for natural remedies as opposed to medicating everything.
like liver, kidneys

I bought this for my sister for Christmas because she loves tea and using different kinds for their healing/health promoting properties. This book is neat because it is organized by different human issues, from stress to skin problems to your immune system. You can read about all the different ways Tea has been shown to help different organs of the body, like liver, kidneys, brain, etc., but it's written at a layman's level. This book is for any person who enjoys tea and is interested in how to use its herbal/medicinal properties to benefit their health. Very cool book, well written and easy to navigate. My sister continues to rave about it.
I love this book

I love this book. I have always loved my cup of tea before bedtime. But now to learn all the different health benefits from drinking the different teas is like learning to dance.

Victoria Zak's book is decent. It includes herbal tea history, remedies, directions on making your own teas, lists of herbs and some ailments said herbs help. Zak lists herbs with cautions as well as parts of plant to use in making tea along with historical facts about many herbs. Recipes and quotes make this book an interesting read, and educational reference to your herbal tea library; however, some of the stuff in the book does seem improvised and self opinion.
