Our 9 year old loves these books, they are easy reads for kids her age, they are a chapter book, and they offer history on important past figures.

Read with my 10 year old girl. She had lots of great questions sparking some intense but educational conversations. Content was just right for her age but could prove a little mature for some.
Easy to follow for 2nd grader

I found this easy to read even for 2nd grader. It is simple to understand and they were learning about in class. We plan to visit the Ann Frank museum in NY in the future and hopefully the one in Amsterdam as well.

This Text is about Anne Frank, a young girl who lived through a horrible time, WW2 (World war two) Anne Frank was a Jewish girl, and wanted to live a "normal life". Friends, family, and, no cares in the world, but that could never happen, for WW2 was a war started by Adolf Hitler, who after failing at becoming an artist went to politics, and he thought Jewish people were the reasons bad things happened, and people believed in him! And with enough support, rose up against Jews, Anne and her family fled, after fleeing to the Netherlands, Anne turned 13, and got a diary for her birthday. But, still bad times came, her sister was sentenced to a concentration camp, her father and mother would not let their daughter go, and they fled, after almost TWO YEARS!!! They got caught, and sadly everyone except Otto, Anne's father, died, so he decided to publish Anne's diary, and it continues to inspire us to this day.
