Very insightful look into the world of professional football.

I think the author does a great job conveying just how tough playing in the NFL is physically. One thing to remember though is that nobody is forced to play in the NFL as seen recently by the retirements of players such as Chris Borland of the 49 ers after 1 successful rookie season and then John Carlson who has bounced around the NFL and retired this year at 31 with a starting job on a rising Cardinals team. The author makes you think about at what point is the money involved no longer worth the beating a players body is taking that could have effects later on.

Certainly recommend reading this if you want a better idea of what the average NFL player goes thru in order to play on Sundays.

If you are a real fan of football this is a must read. It just reinforces how violent the game is.
