Come 'on ... this is a classic. I purchased this because my old one needed a refresher with all of the new types of publications (such as those in electronic form). Blue Book has gotten bigger but covers more things now. It is a good resource for a practitioner or law student who cites legal sources in their daily work or for writing publications.

Citing sources for legal work is miserable but at least this book gives you some guidance. This book is a must for law students and will help you get that good grade in a legal writing course.

So, I needed this for a legal research class. I don't think anyone buys the Bluebook by choice, but once you have it, you realize how helpful it is to follow a set of conventions from which to work, as opposed to just winging it!
