A good strategy book for a very good game.

This is a very detailed book. It has everything you need to know in order to complete the game, including all the optional sidequests and items. The text is a little hard to read and the author's notes seem a bit unnecessary. But all in all, this is a very good strategy guide if you need a little extra help with the game.

I played Zelda games on Nintendoand computeer in the past, but that was years ago. I recently bought the wiiu for one reason only: to play the Zelda games . They have come a long way! This is a great game. The storyline is easy to follow. The temple puzzles are really fun and sometimes frustrating. The games lasts for many hours. I am a big fan. Can't wait to sample some of the other Zelda games. This one is well worth the cost and time.

I grew up loving the Zelda franchise. I've played a number of them, and also play other games of this genera (Elder Scrolls, Fable, etc.). Now that I've got a full time job and a family, gaming time is few and far between, so having the guide to help me progress in a rapid manner is awesome. The guide is detailed, but the words and page color are fairly similar so it isn't the easiest to read when glancing over for help. Overall, though, I've made WAY more progress than before I had it. Good purchase.

This guide tells you how to beat the game, so it serves its purposes as a guide. However, it's also very thick, probably because it can be WAY too wordy sometimes. Like other reviewers have mentioned, do we really need to know EVERY SINGLE TIME to move a rock or cut grass to gain rupees? Also, the author's note doesn't serve as very helpful advice, unless you need a good laugh. Even a novice Zelda gamer like me could figure some of this stuff out. I don't own the Nintendo Player's guide, so I can't compare the two. Also, side quests, such as collecting bugs, are placed when the author did it, instead of being separate at the end of the book, a la the guide for Ocarina of Time 3D. This makes you complete it in order, if you don't want to flip between pages all of the time. So yes, this book is a good guide and will help you complete the game, but in the author's style.
