After the deaths of her parents, Lily Esch runs away with her English boyfriend. This causes more pain and grieving for her family. She takes a self-picture of herself, which is forbidden by the People. She loses the picture in a book on the train. Enter Jed from Ohio (on way to Lancaster Co. to fulfill an apprenticeship) who thinks he has met the girl in the photograph (found book on train). Upon finding out that the photo is actually a runaway, Jeb decides to initiate search in Ohio.

I'm not quite done with this book. I give it 5 stars because it is a very good book. I read at night and I have to put it down, but can't wait to read it again each night.

The Photograph is an excellent book for many to read. The storyline follows the title to a tee. Everything started because of that one photo and a book.

I recommend this book to everyone. The characters are realistic, and easy to imagine. You can join them as you read this awesome book.
