This is a book for collectors, and it has enough history and pictures to be useful. It's well produced, and since the number of interested people is small, it isn't surprising that it costs quite a bit. Still, it's worth it to a collector.
The Ultimate Resource for Bridle Rosette Collectors

If you're a collector of horse bridle rosettes, this book is a must. The author shares a wealth of information on the history of bridle rosette making in the US and the pages are filled with beautiful examples of virtually every rosette ever made in the United States.
This is a difficult topic to write an entire book on as there are very few sources to which to refer and much of the history of the making of these beautiful equine ornaments has sadly been lost.
But before you plunge into the hobby of rosette collection, get this book and read it thoroughly. You'll learn which rosettes are rare and which are not. You'll also be able to detect the phony ones that pop up on the market all too frequently.
