Not as on target for what I needed, a quick reference to understand fast paced British television. But good.
Wished there was more slang words

Enjoyed the book, but was so much other things (ancient history, currency differences, US Presidents/UK Kings & Queens, etc) that really held no interest for me. Was more wanting dictionary of US/UK slang words. Had some, just not enough.
Look out Brit's, we finally know what you are talking about!

I purchased this book for an upcoming trip to London for 6 weeks. Although speaking the same language, but not being familiar with some of the terminology, and constant "what was that??" made me want to find something to help clear up this barrier. I'm very happy I found this book as it is the perfect companion in this language disparity.
Pros:
Funny cover
Alphabetical so easy to look up words
Cons:
This is a dictionary, so is not reading material for most, beyond looking up words!

This was a present to my son who has enjoyed testing my English son-in-law on these British colloquialisms and sayings.
Current and thurough

Reads very much like a dictionary and covers multiple dialects. Great for the traveler. Well laid out with a fun cover...kudos to the publisher.
