Absolutly love this book! The pictures are clear and detailed, the index and illness guide in the back is very helpful. I do wish they had more pictures of plants. For example the book will have 10 plants on a page and only show pictures of 2 plants (And they're always the super common plants, which bothers me. I would rather have detailed imagery of plants that aren't that common) but I guess that is me being but picky. I also am going to be picky and complain that some of the plants in the book i feel shouldn't be in there like corn, lettuce, ans carrots. There wasn't much information to be given so I feel it was a waste of time and energy to even add them when they could have used the space on plants like chinese mug wort, regular mothers wort or lavandin.
Lastly, I only found it with one plant, but it had a very tiny detail wrong. It said it wasn't edible when it actually is and is enjoyed to this day in italy as a common side. But again me being nit picky. I really love this book it is my go-to. It's really wonderful that's why, even with my complaints, I gave it 4 stars. I would give it 4 and a half if I could.

I have numerous books on medicinal herbs. This is the one I go back to again and again. It is clearly written and informative. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to after a few years of opening this book up almost daily.

This book is a must have if you and your family want a natural remedy for many different things. DK is my favorite when it comes to informational books.
This book is great. Each section will tell you the item and follows with a Very descriptive explanation from habitats, history, research as well as used for each one. Not to worry the book is full of pictures as well to help you identify the plant or parts of the plant you should use.

I'm heartbroken that someone borrowed this from me and didn't return it. It was my favorite out of a couple hundred books. Tons of good information and really cool pictures my 1 and 2 year old liked to look at. Hopefully I can replace it soon.

If you like learning about herbal medicine this book is very valuable. There is so much great information in this book. You'll learn habitat and cultivation, Related species, key constitutes, key actions, research, traditional & current uses, parts used and key preparations - this book is a wealth of information!! This is a great book and one of my very favorites.
