Well, it is considered the best. It has lots of detail, but never enough detail. I love it when they say, " use the pitman arm puller and remove the pitman arm...." It took 3 days to REMOVE the rusted 46 year old pitman arm rusted to the steering gear box. Or they just throw in, "remove the engine and transmission and then the shift rod will pull right out...." Funny right?

Great Tech manual if your looking for information on ur Bus or Type IV. I bought it as a recomendation when I was building the Type IV for my Beetle. It has good technical info, great diagrams and if a must for bench too rebuilds. I will recomend taking down to a kinkos and having it spiral bound. Cost me less then $15 and it nice to be able to lay it flat or flip it open to the page u need.

Manual received fairly quickly and in fair enough shape for the price.
It has become my "bible" for refurbishing my "new" 1979 VW Bus that had been sitting for 11 years.
After reading up on the areas I'm concentrating on first I see it's not 100% complete for detailed information
on some areas I'm working on but close enough. Will probably pick up another Manual like "Idiots Guide"
for secondary reference.
