We always appreciate the Standard of Excellence Books and this one was very helpful. My daughter was able to navigate the Bassoon with ease under the instruction in this book.
A band method--exercises for both bassoon alone & with band

A basic method, with the usual treatment of rhythms, pitches, assembing the instrument, fingerings, and so forth. The fingering chart on the last page is not entirely accurate, however. The fingerings there will work, but may result in pitch instability on some instruments.
