This book has fabulous photographs and wonderful text for the young kids I teach but, NOT A SINGLE photograph identifies the species of monkey!!!! I just spent several hours researching each photograph so I can accurately identify each as I share it with my students!!

This 24-page book has very appealing and attractive photos that show different species in varying activities and natural settings. There is very little text. I would say the book would be a good read-together introduction to monkeys for four- and five-year-olds. Six- and seven-year-olds would probably enjoy the book on their own. Older kids would probably find the book too elementary.

The kids love it. A little longer than the other kids books about monkeys and has short paragraphs with a little glossary at the bottom of each page. I with they'd put the names of the monkeys in the photos though.
