If you are ready to be challenged in your Christian walk then you are ready to read this book. Craig Gross speaks to the heart of Jesus and his ministry and how we, as the Church, have missed the mark. Loved it!

Growing up, I had different beliefs than those around me, but found those differences difficult to express. Thanks to Craig, my feelings found words that could describe them! The Gutter is one of, if not my absolute favorite, books. Thank you, Craig. I truly enjoy your works, as they are uplifting and centering (my life). God bless!

EVERY PASTOR/MINISTER/YOUTH LEADER MUST READ THIS BOOK!! Gross clearly lays out the concepts of "love the sinner, hate the sin" that 98% of "Christians" seem to forget. He balances the fine line between compromising your faith and putting yourself on the level that most of the people we try to reach are on. He gives clear examples of what he's talking about, and encourages you to find your own niche. What I love most is how he also acknowledged that we, as humans, are prone to fall ourselves and that our humanity is not a liability, but a tool to be used. I highly, highly recommend this book to all people in ministry of any kind.
Step out of your comfort zone

This was an enjoyable read and it is very applicable to our everyday life. Somehow we have allowed our churches to place the idea in our head, missions is only abroad and we have severely neglected the huge mission field within arms reach every day; our homes, churches, neighborhoods, communities, and co-workers. This book does a nice job of not only reminding us of the mission field locally but we as Christians, tend to want to stay in our own safety net or circle of like-minded friends, especially our church friends and forget to get out of our comfort zone, be challenged and really go to the "gutter".
