I loved reading this

This book is the first book from the fifty shades off grey series told again but from Christian's point of view this time. I loved reading this! I'm fifty shades obsessed and really appreciated the insight to Christian's side. I really hope the author writes fifty shades darker and fifty shades freed from Christian's side as well.
Totally enthralling!!

The story flowed very well. I liked this better than the FSOG movie to be honest. Obviously, the first installment of the movie has been out for some time now & I saw it before reading any of the books, had I read these book first the movie would've been quite a disappointment. I was so enthralled with the book I read the entire thing within 24 hrs!!!

Taking Fifty Shades to a deeper level. Get inside Christian's head and see theatrics from his point of view. The witty repartee is still there, the play and interaction, but also his fears and feelings. In so much as he is able to share at this point in the story. Learn more about his past and what drives this enigmatic, controlling and domineering man. Laugh, cheer and maybe even shed a tear (or two.)
I enjoyed a deeper look into the other side of the story and am mildly curious to see if the other two books will be flipped around this way as well.

Sometimes More is just MORE.

Loved FSOG... And I have loved reading through the excepts that E.L. James had written to accompany the book. I was so looking forward to this book, I love Christians point of view, so much that I can't even tell you. But this book I feel is just too much. There were parts I loved, initially when she falls into his office, the first night at the Heathman, their first time together, when she escaped to Georgia and ultimately when she walked out the door. But with that I thought that his mind was on overdrive all the time. Debating with himself a bit too much if he should pursue Anna or not, and when he did if he was doing the right thing all the time. As a man in charge, a Dominant I had a hard time with the way he second guessed every little thing. That drove me insane. With that said though I am looking forward to Christians POV in Darker and Freed.
Nothing new to learn in GREY

While it was nice to read the first book all over again after a couple of years, it was exactly that and no more. The story from Christian POV should have been so much more than just rehashing everything with just a few more thoughts and nightmares of his. Frankly, I didn't learn anything else about him. Nothing that I didn't know before or read between his lines to Anna. His story should be much more: His childhood, his relationships with Mrs Robinson, his life as a Dom before Anna. A more profound insight to what molded his personality. It didn't give me any new insights while it did provide glimpses of his thoughts when he was with Anna or for instance what led him to do things like come to Georgia but even that, I remembered that he told her that Elena pushed him to go. Yeah it does feel like writing this book did not require much effort. Just copy paste and add some of his business conversations behind the scene in order to quickly satisfy the need of the eager and naive readers who asked for his POV. I would have expected a lot more. Disappointing.
