I finished this book in one day, it was so enthralling. Artfully written and very intriguing, it is a twisting mystery that doesn't feel too dramatic. I really felt as though I was there with the characters page after page.

This book drew me in right away. The author does an excellent job or transitioning from the past to present, and the characters are all drastically different as to avoid confusion. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of mystery, murder/crime or historical fiction!

Loved this book, set in my favorite city. To me, the most important element in a book is good writing style. Second is the plot. The Dollhouse has both and is a pleasure to read.

I just finished this book and I liked it very much. I liked the characters and believed them. I liked the nostalgia of New York City in the 50's. I think that she did a great job for her first novel. I recommend it. I have definitely read worse. And I did not find her writing immature, but rather found it kept my interest going, as in, hey, I get to go read that good book tonight. Geez, some people are so critical. Good book, surprise ending....
