I enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to trying some of the recipes like Ratatouille and Mac and Cheese. The recipes looked complicated but when I started reading, they seemed easier and I think I'll be able to make them. Not sure if I'm ready to tackle souffles yet, or crepes. I liked the pictures, too, and the author's stories about life in Paris.

This cookbook caught my eye with it's interesting graphics and, reading it, I bought her second and found a dessert for my 8 year old's birthday. Even though the recipes are not traditional French she explains how and why. She's also included many tidbits to explain the reasons behind French cooking.

I totally fell in love with this book. I'll admit that I am not much of a cook by nature, but this cookbook is so inspiring I have made meals I NEVER would have thought I was even capable of. Not only are the recipes simply and thoroughly explained, but delicious as well. I look forward to leafing through the book and trying to figure out what I'm going to try next!
