While I wouldn't rely on this exclusively for treating anything, it would be a good thing to read before talking to a doctor. Since it goes over a lot of triggers and treatments it would be most helpful in giving you specific things to go over with a professional in long term care.

Along with information on adverse health effects, the book gives readers a lot of tips they can put into effect at home to reduce the effects of the condition- in ways that have proven time and again. Just as there are things you should do to keep your intestines healthy, the book details the dangers should you should avoid to keep from aggravating it. The list of supplements was the section I appreciated most, since a malfunctioning digestive system certainly does reduce the amount of vitamins in your system that can lead to other health problems.

A good beginning to understanding leaky gut syndrome and what can be done to heal it. Well laid out and thoughtfully written.
