Looks good and seems to be very much to the point ...

Looks good and seems to be very much to the point considering the little knowledge I have about rivers and kayaking/canoeing.
Hope to put it to use with grandchildren soon!

Great Book!
The BEST paddling book for Georgia rivers
Amazon CustomerMarch 7, 2017
This book is essential for anyone paddling in Georgia. I use it to discover new places, to learn more about places I've been to before, and for trip planning purposes. I mostly stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and canoe. The maps are super useful (I take pictures on my phone before heading out). I also had the previous version of this book, and this new version is definitely an upgrade. For anyone new to paddling, there is a section for recommended runs based on tastes, experiences, and preferences. For experienced paddlers, this is the only place to find essential beta on lesser known river sections. This book has much more detail in it than the Falcon guides. The authors live in Georgia and really know this area well (as opposed to travel guides written by professional writers who drop into a place to "discover" it). They also support river advocacy and conservation efforts in Georgia. This is the first time I've written an Amazon review, but given the amount of joy and adventure I've gotten from this book, I feel inspired to help spread the good word!

FYI -- The negative review is not warranted and inaccurate since the book includes plenty of information on access points, including maps, written instructions, and GPS coordinates.

This book is excellent, providing maps, coordinates and statistics about each of the creeks and rivers. Very valuable for any Georgia paddler. I love it. Do not believe the negative reviews.
