I was searching the web for a book I could get for my little brothers. They're two years old and already love reading and looking at pictures. They're very fascinated with animals, and are particularly drawn to bears! I wanted to get them a book that would interest them as well as help them learn new things, this book is perfect for that! I learned a lot about bears myself, that I didn't know thanks to this book! This book is very educational, it contains about 18 pages, the vocabulary contains good explanations, the pictures are really great they're detailed and some are simple. My brothers love looking at the different photos, and have been telling everyone all the new things they have learned about bears! I thought they loved bears before but now after reading this, their love for bears has definitely grown. :) This is their new favorite book and I could see why, it is very well written and provides beautiful photos, to interest anyone into wanting to read this! I have received this for my unbiased review, and I am very glad I did, I will be reccomending this to everyone! It is the perfect book to get for children that offers fascinating facts as well as for anyone that enjoys bears! My brothers absorb the information in this quickly, I believe it's the way the book is created that helps them to naturally absorb all of the cool information. I will be looking into purchasing other books from this author, I am impressed!

I have a three years old kit and she likes very much when we show her pictures of animals and talk to her about their names, colors, etc. Recently, I got a Fire kids edition for her and I downloaded the electronic version of this book among others. The pictures in this book are very clear and high quality. She likes to view the pictures, but I guess this book is for older kids as it does not have a story line or something like this. It is just a punch of pictures and facts about bears for kids who can read and learn by themselves. Here is my feedback about this book.

This book is contains a set of real pictures of bears along with very brief facts about them displayed side by side with the picture.
⦿ The pictures are for different species of bears: black American bears, brown bears, panda, polar bears, and others. The pictures are not taken in zoos, or may be in large one that mimic the wild life.
⦿ The facts are about where bears live in bulks, what they eat, their cubs, their strong senses like smell and sight, and some of bears social instincts.

⦿ I like that they provide really high quality pictures that are captured in what looks to be real environment. Some pictures are taken for bears hunting in rivers, while other on snow or forests. I hope they have more pictures.
⦿ The book does not mention the specific names of different species. All the facts refer to bears as only bears. So, they do not tell that this is a picture of panda, polar bear, etc. It would be nice if they have this information for kids.
⦿ Fun. As I mentioned earlier, my interest in this book for my three years old is only the pictures. She would like to view the pictures, but at this age, she prefers to have a variety of animals/objects in a book. She gets bored quickly because all the images are for bears. This might not be the case for older kids.
⦿ Educational value. The book has some basic info about bears that might be useful for kids who can read and explore by themselves.

Overall, I am happy with the quality of the pictures and the content of this book, but it is not the best for my kid's age.

Another Baby Professor book with vivid pictures. There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99¢. You can't really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.

I like this particular book. The format for this book is the same as most of the Baby Professor books in this series which have a picture with a paragraph and facts on one page. Then the next page is just a photo. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page too.
Overall, I do like theses books for their wonderful pictures. It would be nice if the books went into more detail but they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.

I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I sometimes watch a friends 3 year old daughter and she likes to look through the pictures on my phone. I plan on showing her these books to keep her entertained. I think she will love them.

Pros: Cute pictures, simple information, quick read
Cons: Some grammar errors (page 7 "Live also entirely on bamboo"? Maybe I'm just not reading it correctly!), and questionable facts ("similar to hibernation" Again, maybe I'm the incorrect one here, but I thought bears DID hibernate, not did something SIMILAR to hibernation),

B is for Bear is an easy "educational" read about bears. I put "educational" because the information in the book isn't TOO detailed, where it would be overwhelming for children, and for older children it may be a little TOO basic. I would guess this would be appropriate for around 2-5 years old, and I'm not certain what it's marketed towards (I tried to find it, and couldn't). My 2.5 year old nephew read and was entertained for the few minutes it took to read.

The photos in the book are ACTUAL photographs of bears, and are great, high quality photos that are pretty entertaining! I am 30 years old, and found myself looking at the pictures longer than my nephew did.

Overall it's a cute book, and I DEFINITELY would recommend the free Kindle version. However, the regular listed price may be a bit steep considering the grammar error and questionable facts inside.

Our children love story time which is usually right before bed. With very small children you need to keep their attention long enough so they don't start playing around and talking to each other while your reading. Normally I would not choose a digital copy of a book to read because I am still a fan of physically holding a book and changing the pages apart from any electronic device. However, I received a free copy of this book for kindle in exchange for my review and I think it may have changed my mind about how effective a good book can be when viewed on a tablet. The great thing is that digital copies are so much cheaper than printed books and I think this just opened up a whole new world of bed time stories for us.

More specifically about this Bear book, it is wonderful. My son absorbs information quickly, especially when it comes to subjects like animals. He loved this and learned a ton of cool stuff. There is a wide variety of bears to see and learn about. This was a great find!
