Fun way to practice math
LABD✓ Verified Purchase•April 8, 2016
We have gotten other versions of "perplexors" but this is the first math one we have tried. My 8yr old homeschooler really enjoys these. The stories are sometimes silly - like birds holding contests for example, but that keeps it entertaining. In this level the actual math is pretty basic (adding and subtracting, sometimes with "guess and check" to figure out which 2 numbers to use). These are fun logic puzzles, and a nice break in-between other assignments.
Fun Questions, preparing for Standardized Testing

My kids just love these. They are great problems that help to prepare for standardized tests when they get older. The questions are interesting, challenging, yet read in a way that the kids can follow and enjoy them. this is one of the few books where they actually ask to 'play'. That should say a lot. I highly recommend, along with some of the others in the Perplexors series. I would say this is for 1st-3rd grade.
Challenging Problems!

This product was not what I was expecting when I got the item, either way it makes you think and solve the problem that each page gives you. If you enjoy solving story problems, then this is the book for you. Give it a shot and you may live longer... :P
No fun.

All of the puzzles are the same. Match five people with five items. I like this math one slightly more than the other one. I expected some variety. If my grandson loves them I'll report back.
Kid likes 'em

These rock. Kid likes them. Only problem: They get progressively harder pretty fast. She wants to ramp up a bit more slowly. Math is on the edge of what this 2nd grader can do yet. She prefers the Perplexors that are pure logic problems. Me and Grandma prefer these.
