Great price, love the packaging

Got 10 bulbs for price of 2 at retail stores.
Love the packaging. Individual boxes, with each bulb in a little plastic bag. Held bulb in plastic bag while inserting prongs into the outlet of my microwave ( touching halogen bulbs lowers the life of the bulb). If the bulbs last , I have decades of bulbs protected in neat boxes (vs having to dig through the junk drawer two years later for the other bulb that fell out of its opened plastic package).
Outstandingk, 10 for $6.39.

Four of these bulbs light our pair of glass front cabinets for collectibles that we have been acquiring over 40 years. Walmart use to carry them at a absolutely ridiculous price of $5 for two. They have since stopped carrying these bulbs.

The light fixtures are at the top of the 6'5" cabinet. The ceramic bases in the light fixtures face the back of the cabinet making insertation rather diffucult. In the end everything worked out fantastic. THANK YOU AMAZON.
Great for intermittent use!

Are these cheap bulbs that may not last as long as a name brand? Absolutely. I have 10 of these bulbs in my vanity fixtures in our master bathroom. I've just now gone through all 10 after 4 years (meaning I'm ordering more, not that they have all burnt out yet.) You do the math. If your bulbs are intermittent like mine, these are totally the way to go. If they are landscape lighting that are on for 6 hours a day and you have the room for larger LED bulbs in your fixtures, it's time to upgrade to LEDs!
Great purchase, great price!

I usually get a 2 pack of these bulbs made by GE at Ace for $5-6. I've had terrible luck, even using gloves to open the package and handle the bulbs, and within 2-4 weeks they are dead. I thought maybe it was the ballasts. Now I know it wasn't. These bulbs are great, and much easier to install than the GE brand. The tip on the GE bulb is super pointy and was super difficult to install in under cabinet fixtures. My husband says GE stands for good enough - I wouldn't even give them that much credit! These bulbs cost $5.99 for 10 of them! And no issues since early September. Another great Amazon secret revealed. Bulbs and batteries, score!
Huge savings over local store individual bulbs

Bought a 10-pack of the 10W bulbs about five years ago for a picture frame light that burns at least six hours per day. I have since saved a fortune over individual bulbs at my local stores. They last as long as any other halogen bulb I've used. This current batch of 20W bulbs keeps a few landscape lights happy. As long as you are not blasting them with way over 12 volts, the life expectancy is pretty good. For those having issues with quick burnouts, I suspect their power supplies might be running a little high. Make sure you handle the bulb with a tissue or piece of paper when installing.
