I bought it for Lovers Concerto and it was great. But I didn't recognize the rest of the songs.
Very good.

I gotta tell you, I love this disc! It's like discovering a limited edition soul class from a thrift shop! There are other reviews that will get down to the nuts and bolts of this, but the Toys could have been another Supremes! Many will remember this from Mr. Holland's Opus, but back in '64 there was a wave of great soul sounds from all over the nation and residing on the charts of Los Angeles radio! A Lover's concerto was one of those gems.
On this album, they try to replicate the success with another familiar tune, but things like that seldom work. There is one song on here, towards the end of the disc that just sounds like it could have been in the Motown cannon. Attack looks like it was the next single release, and it may have made it in some areas of the country-we seldom got Northern Soul- and they were all the better for it. If the current music scene leaves you listless, this is a find to explore!
