I had first heard Joaquin Rodrigo's compositions through Sirius radio, and quickly wrote down his name for reference. This 2-CD set is simply beautiful. The music is at once soothing and relaxing, while also bringing alive Spanish folk music. I certainly wish I had found Rodrigo's music sooner, but I'm glad I know it now.
Pepe Romero is a sheer genius with the guitar! It is amazing to just listen to how he can make this instrument speak. Every time I listen to these CDs it seems I find something new in the music. I so highly recommend these!
