Fun for the kiddos!
JnKBosJune 5, 2017
Our two boys love to play these. We got three for them at Christmas. No batteries just wind and good clean fun. Not too loud either. Pleasant sound even if they r just randomly pressing keys. There are a couple songs on the box for them to practice too!
Our daughter loves it!

Our 5-year-old daughter loves music! She wanted a trumpet for her birthday, so after looking at several toy trumpets, we settled on this one. She likes it, but it sounds more like a party horn than a trumpet. It comes with a few songs (on the box), so it's fun for her to be able to play a tune or two. She also plays (by ear) other songs she's heard, so it has been a great learning tool for her. We always remind her to be careful with it, as it is only plastic, and I'm sure it would break if dropped or hit against something while she's parading around the living room.
Not Bontempi Trumpets

Not the toy trumpet they offered on Amazon!

This order was for 2 Bontempi Toy Trumpet Horns for Kids which we have found to be quality toys made in Italy. We were were very disappointed to receive instead 2 cheaply made toy trumpets made by a company in China. My adult breath was barely enough to make any sound come out of them, and the sound was of very poor quality. A child of 3 probably wouldn't be able to get even that much. They have already been returned for shipment to Amazon.
Great Toy Trumpet!!

Purchased this for my 3 year old grandson who loves watching his uncle play the trumpet in the marching band. My grandson absolutely loves it! He is able to blow through it and push the buttons to make different sounds. The trumpet has color coded buttons and comes with music that an older child could use to learn to play a song. My grandson has taken this trumpet to every Friday night football game and band competition since August. Even though all the buttons are now missing, I think it's held up very well considering all the abuse it has taken from a 3 year old. It has been dropped, slung, passed around, and thrown many, many times! I will be ordering another one for next year!
Blow Your Horn!

You can jumpstart your child's appreciation for musical instruments by purchasing this toy trumpet by Bontempi. We bought this horn more than a year ago, and it's still playing Reveille in the morning and Taps in the evening.

The toy models the real thing with a finger hook, nonworking slide hold and a faux water key - aka the spit drain. Speaking of spit, blowing into any horn creates moisture so be sure to stand this one on its bell over a napkin after use to allow proper drainage before a thorough airing out on its side. Over time, the breath will turn the shiny inside of the bell black but I did not notice any slimy residue associated with the discoloration. Don't get all grossed out by this information; the care and maintenance of real "“ and toy "“ horns is serious business.

The harder you blow, the louder the sound played by pressing one or more or all of the four valves. It's not a resonating tone, but for a toy, it's an impressive sound. One note: The high E â‘¢ note requires strong lungs.

The packaging includes key fingering for two songs. Skip their songs but keep the note guide so that you can teach your budding musician to play Reveille and Taps using the score notes below (sound clip of my son playing the horn gives an idea of its range). Those are songs more recognizable to a U.S. audience and will have your little horn player marching to their own beat!
