WARNING - instructions call for an "auxiliary fence" .......... blech

I am sending this back.
If I add an "auxiliary fence" I lose the cursor indexing functionality on my fancy Excalibur fence. I thought this was just a mount-on-top-of-existing fence upgrade. IMO it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Could I use this without the auxiliary fence? Well, they never say the auxiliary fence is optional. And I am sure there is some good reason for that.
Will have to keep looking for a suitable alternative.

Just received the board buddies. Upon opening the packaging, I discovered the plastic bags were torn open and laying in the bottom of the box, as was all of the parts. All hardware was covered with wood chips and saw dust (MDF I believe). These board buddies are bviously used, and I paid for new ones. Thus the one star! They seem to work. Well ... at least the rollers turn smoothly and in the right direction. Everything that was supposed to be included is in the box, so I'm not going through the trouble of returning them. I'll know more after I actually get to use them. I will update afterwards.

I love this. You may need (or want) to also buy an additional part to make sure it fits your fence. But I'm guessing this is better than any sort of spreader for an old table saw. I feel so much safer using this.

I love these things. It took a little bit to get them adjusted correctly but, for ripping long boards accurately, by yourself, this is an absolute must. It also prevents kickback.
