Straight cuts for bulkier heavier ripping.

I used these on a table saw to keep the heavier and bulkier pieces of wood I was cutting steady and straight. They are like an extra pair of hands and work really well.
perfect for plywood joints

I do a lot of tongue and groove in plywood and it used to be that I would always spend a lot of time fitting the joints with a plane because, as anyone knows, plywood is not flat and you have to press down consistently to get anything close to a consistent cut. After a run using these, I didn't have to do any fitting at all...payed for itself in saved time on the first run.
... I could just buy the wheels that would be perfect! They work great in a one person shop

I'd give them 6 stars except that the part that wear out is the wheel and if I could just buy the wheels that would be perfect! They work great in a one person shop. great for cutting plywood or other large items that really want a couple of hands. I don't use them all the time, but when you want a really nice cut on something, and NOT telegraph the times you re-position your hands while pushing the work thru, these do help out.
Easy installation with no holes in my fence

5 stars for the product, 2 stars for the included assembly instructions, (and that's being generous, they were worthless in my opinion).
That said, after figuring out a way to install the Board Buddies on my Grizzly G0691 Cabinet Table Saw with Long Rails and Riving Knife, 10-Inch table saw fence, I have to say that I love them. They work exactly as intended. Making cuts on my table saw is far more safe and the cuts are more accurate than ever before.

I also bought the Woodstock W1108 24-Inch Track for Board Buddies (which included no instructions or documentation whatsoever).

I had hoped to avoid drilling holes into my fence for this installation, but as far as I could tell, I was going to have to do just that. There is a sad lack of installation information on these things. Google couldn't even find any helpful info. I ended up calling my dad for help and together we figured it all out and no holes were put into my fence at all. (Thank you, Dad).

It turns out that the installation was very simple and I can remove and replace the BB's any time I want in a matter of seconds. Instead of explaining the set-up, I'm including a photo of what we did. It's crazy easy. I used some scrap lumber I had in the shop that amounted to a 2"x4" and a small piece of 3/4" plywood. Since we did not permanently attach this to the table saw fence, we added two Stanley Hardware 756104 4 Count 1" Zinc Corner Braces on the bottom of the handle end of the fence to stabilize the set-up and keep it from sliding. To quickly remove the BB's, I just slide the whole thing towards me about an inch and it lifts right off the fence. It goes back on just as easily.

Hope this helps. They really are worth the price and effort to install.

I use these when cutting sheet stock. The Board Buddies not only hold the stock down against the table, they draw the stock to the rip fence. They help out a lot, especially in a one person shop. Also, just a note, I don't use these when cutting anything narrower than 6-8 inches, where I'd use a push stick. I saw a video of someone pushing a 2" piece part way through and then going to the out-feed side and finishing the cut from the back of the saw. I thought that was silly.
