but they don't allign the faces like these do
Craig•December 14, 2016
I was renovating my kitchen and after some research I settled on these clamps. I already have several of the irwin quick grip clamps, but they don't allign the faces like these do. Also, the hole in the side that you can drill and screw through it a great little invention that really makes these a breeze to use while installing cabinets.
Make it simple

Great clamp system. Should have bought them a long time ago. After using a borrowed pair, I wanted my own. Would not hang cabinets without them.
just don't like the clamps in this style - not a good ...

Although the pictured item is what I ended up getting, I ordered the clamp with the plastic handles (similar to Bessey clamps) - they are easier for me to turn and far less likely to scratch the work. Those style Pony clamps with vise grip are no longer made, not sure why other than the vendor claimed the mfg said these were 'stronger' - don't need to much strength to pull together quality cabinets...Anyway vendor gave a price reduction, so no issue there, just don't like the clamps in this style - not a good 'new' design!
Pony clamps - worth the money

As a homeowner and avid do-it-yourselfer I found these the be well constructed, strong and easy to use. I have only one suggestion. The pilot holes feature a guide to start the hole before using the larger countersink bit. This guide has a small ball-bearing detent to center it but it doesn't quite center it. You have to take a little extra care to make sure it is centered. I marked the clamp and guide to make sure it was centered each time before I used the starter bit. Additionally the countersink bit would not fit entirely into the hole, forcing me to move the clamp to finish the hole. I had to leave one clamp In place while I did this to keep the cabinets aligned and move the clamp and check the alignment to finish the countersink. It's not bad but requires care and planning. Still, I like the clamps.
Great Product

This is a must have to cabinet installations. I purchased these for my Brother in law to aid him in his cabinet installation business. He does installations for Lowes here in South Florida. He uses these on nearly every job. They have been in use for a few years now with zero issues. A definite must have for this type of work.
