It doesn't remove the cork.

Purchased this item in late Jan. 2018. I don't drink a lot of wine so only used it 3 times & everytime, the corkscrew easily went into the wine cork but I cannot get it to pull the cork out. I followed the directions but ended up having to use my old corkscrew. This is second rabbit I have purchased & the first one broke when I tried to remove the cork

This opener failed on its third bottle. Pushing down on the lever drove the screw into the cork, and after lifting, the cork came out of the bottle, but then the screw would not disengage from the cork. The cork had to be manually spun around a dozen times to free it of the screw. I've used these before, and they worked flawlessly - never expected one to fail in its second week.
Not the Original Rabbit by any stretch of the imagination.

The original Rabbit used to be a beautiful item - hefty, solid and fun to work with. They've changed material, shape and quality is not there. Mine happened to arrive broken, but even if it hadn't - this new version is really garbage. Pass.

I couldn't have been more disappointed. I limped along for five months shy of a year with the device and absolutely pointless foil cutter. Then it cracked and fell apart into 4 pieces. It is made in China and performs exactly to the stereotype: cheap crap.
After two phone calls and at least three emails complete with pictures, warranty number and purchase date the company is sending me another one. Yea, I can hardly wait😕. They refused to refund.

I've had my first Rabbit corkscrew for more than 20 years, but then the spiral got bent and it started to push the cork down into the bottle. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I ordered a new one, which included an extra spiral. I put the extra spiral in the old one, and now it works perfectly again. So now I have two of these wonderful devices! I'll probably give the new one to someone as a gift. I wonder if I can order a new spiral separately, just in case the one on my first one gets bent again.
