Hours of fun for our four year old daughter

Our four-year-old daughter got some dime-store parachute guys for her birthday, and while they were fun they were also frustrating due to the tangling aspects. I found these on Amazon and ordered them, and she has been happily playing with them for days now.
She doesn't quite have the arm to throw them high enough when standing on flat ground, but we have a straight-shot stairway and if she stands at the top and throws towards the ceiling, it will begin 'floating' about halfway down.
She loves it and happily runs downstairs to grab him, then back upstairs to throw him. It also makes nap time easier because she's so worn out. :)
The no-tangle aspect of the toy works *perfectly*. I can recall when I was a kid I hated having to constantly de-tangle my paratroopers, and this toy solves that by using a single string to the jumping man, which then attaches to a reverse-cone of netting on the underside of the parachute.
I think the netting has a slight effect of slowing the flow of air up under the parachute, but only slightly, and overall it's well worth it due to the lack of frustration. Highly recommended.

All 4 grandsons had fun with their parachute guys. (blue, green, yellow & pink) None of them tangled and they floated nicely. The guy is made out of hard plastic. One of the guys broke after he collided with a metal cable box. I don't think that he broke from a flying crash, but probably from a boy assisted whipping crash. We just tied the guy up and he still worked fine even though he was in 2 pieces. I would purchase these again.

I purchased 10 of these to give away as a party gift. We held the party at a park with a rocket slide and all the boys went to the top and sent the parachutes down, slid down the slide and did it all over again. It was just what I had wanted! They truly are tangle free and very well made. You can stuff it in your pocket and pull it out and it still works great. I imagine these will be around in our toy collection for a long time. Timeless, no tangles, no batteries.

This is an amazing revision to the parachute toys of time's past. It can be balled up sloppily, or neatly folded and rolled, tossed into the air and it unravels high up in the air, quickly, easily, and falls slowly to the ground, and can be caught in the air.
This is a toy that is fun for adults and children alike.
If only there was a way to request, specifically, what color was wanted. I ordered 2 for 2 boys, and received two pink. I wouldn't have a problem with pink in general, and neither do they, but differentiating between whose and whose requires them paying careful attention to how we personally marked them.

This was a very inexpensive toy, and it is cheaply made, but for indoor play, or in the back yard, it is perfect for young children-say 3 to 8 years. The no tangle claim really works. The thing is light, and consequently hard to throw far, but twirling by the end of the parachute does allow an adult or older child to get enough height to be impressive, and for young children whose aim is uncertain, it's a lot better to be hit by something light.
