Hello; A bit of confusion happened when I originally tried to post this. I didn't apply the correct amount of stars I meant to apply. I apologize for any confusion this caused BUT I still stand by my original post; which was; "The First One shipped to me was defective from the manufacturer- that's why the awful...(on the original one sent when I placed my order) but WAIT! THERE'S MORE so stay with me here >>>The second one (the replacement control that the seller sent) is doing well. For some odd reason as it gets dimmer it gets very sensitive, so much so that I can't get it as dim as it should go before it goes out - even though it isn't yet fully to the off light position, so that's why it gets 4 stars! This might be what one of the other reviewers was referring to when they said something about it and a fire? Anyway, thanks y'all for your understanding and I hope this cleared things up!
Defective Item which can't be Returned

This item did not work. I tried it in several lamps. It is apparently defective. However, the 3rd party seller has a "No Return" policy. Something is wrong with that.
It works, but the lamp shade support needs to be taller.

It appears to work well. There are some issues to be considered:
1) It raised the bulb about 1", so the lamp shade support no longer fit. I had to weld 2" extensions onto it so the lamp shade could be used again.
2) I have a high quality (translation = expensive) LED bulb. No flickering. Cheaper LED bulbs will have flicker, which is obnoxious.
I don't consider either of these the responsibility of the Touch Control, so I gave it 5 stars.

I like the product, but a little vibration of the table and the light comes on.
I have tried tightening the control into the lamp very tightly, but it still comes on periodically without touching the lamp.

good but reliability issues

I have been using these for years and my wife loves them. They work very well. My only complaint is that they don't necessary last forever. I have one lamp that I need to replace it every year or two. In another lamp it seems to last longer but I have replaced it due to failure. I like them enough that I have been willing to deal with the replacement cost. It's kind of like replacing the bulb I guess. OF course with the move away from incandescent bulbs I will need to find another path.
