Don't bother trying to repair furniture unless you have these amazing furniture clamps. I redid a 10 piece dining set with the help of an assistant. Remember to google the proper procedure... all of the top restoration folks use clamps. Never just put wood glue in and hope for the best. Using a clamp guarantees great results. This is a heavy duty clamp. A+++
I like the rubber/plastic grip handle

Quite heavy duty. I like the rubber/plastic grip handle. Most of my old clamps have a wooden handle. Only time will tell if the non-wooden handles hold up as long as my other clamps. Some are very old, many decades, and still work great. Of all the different brands I have, I prefer the Jorgensen.
For my normal daily use of clamps I prefer their regular duty clamps as they are lighter and clamp really well.

i bought several of the IRWIN brand clamp at lowes - BIG MISTAKE - stay away from that brand - two out of eight clamps slipped -
actually couldn't clamp down - and the smaller non heavy duty ones have slippery wood handles - even the irwin heavy duty version is anemic compared to this jorgenson - and costs more
jorgenson is proper - beefy and has a great overmolded rubber grip - don't be nostalgic for the wood handles - these are
much better - really allows for cranking down - actual clamp pads are much larger to - less prone
indenting wood

Like Jorgensen clamps and have about twenty of different types. Had just bought some 6" and 12" clamps to replace some aging ones and was impressed with the quality. Thought I would get the same in the 24" but the handle is plastic. Maybe HD plastic but not as pictured. Don't like not getting what I ordered. Bait and switch seller. Didn't return, too much hassle.
