I was glad to see these Bose speakers sold at such an affordable price. I put them on a wall as the front speakers of a home theatre room. I am very pleased with the clarity and balance of the sound. I don't think you can go wrong with a product from Bose.

I thought I would save a few $$$ by using some old computer speakers I had lying around. BAD IDEA. They sucked!!! SO I splurged and got these. They sound great! I have them hooked up to a DENON receiver I got on Amazon for the MBR surround sound system.
Anthem; Consumer Advocate OK for surround side or back speakers. Expensive fo what they are and largely paying for Bose name.

Anthem; Consumer Advocate Sound good, however, are under engineered and are expensive for what they are. Know that you are paying largely for the Bose name. Fine for side or back surround speakers. Limited mounting options because of their shape and non-compatibility with other mounts.

I bought these as stand alone speakers for my den bookshelf. I had large heavy JBL speakers which took up too much space in my new house. I hooked these up with my old tweeters and they sound just as good as my 800 JBL speakers that I got years ago.
