Smear Guard is a Joke! But still Good tho.

I like these highlighters, but there aren't that good.
These highlighters aren't the best of the marker, but they get the job done, sometimes!
They do need to improve what they call "Smear Guard", these are my first highlighters and no, I'm not saying "in a while". I'm saying these are my first highlighters ever.
I have never use highlighters in my life, never. But I am in this 2018 life, where you do need at least one if you're in high school, college, or any kind of school. So I bought these ones thinking "I have used Sharpie products before and they work very well, those highlighters I'm watching right now have to be good, too". Well, at least that was my thought.
As you see in those images, they make BOLD print letters sweat and blurry, that's annoying, cuz in my school they love using Bold letters in print paper, so yeah you might understand my complaint here, they are really good highlighters tho. If you use it in Fine print letters.
That's pretty much my complaint here, just don't say something that it is not true, be honest, at the end we all know the truth.

PINK markers hard to find. These worked.

Ordered a full box of PINK only markers. Packaging was bent and crinkled when they arrived, and since they were for a gift, that was somewhat disappointing. They were for a grandchild who always uses up her pink markers first, and this was only way to find all pink markers, even though not typically designed for 4-year olds. ;) The box wasn't an issue for her, just looked "used" but Sharpie quality as expected.
Uneven distribution of colors

I bought three 12 packs for an art project I wanted to do with my kids at school. Thinking there are 4 colors in the pack, I (wrongly) assumed that there would be 3 of each color. The 2 colors I need the most were green and blue, as I already had plenty of pink and yellow at school. In each of the 3 boxes, I received two blue markers and one green marker. The markers seem to have good color, but I wish the colors had been more evenly distributed within each box. Also, there are 5 colors in the box: pink, orange, yellow, blue and green.
Satisfying (color) replacement for previous highlighter

I was using the Sanford Major Accent highlighter for awhile. I liked it for the flat tip for even coverage and the color. The color was a darker yellow one that's not obnoxious like fluorescent colors. I couldn't find the Sanford highlighter but stumbled upon the 12 pack of the Sharpie brand in "Yellow". As a previous reviewer mentioned, the tips aren't flat; they're chisel-tipped so I knocked off a star for that. I tested the color and it's EXACTLY the same as what I was using before. That makes me pleased with the purchase. I've attached a picture that doesn't accurately capture the color (it's darker than what is shown) but shows that the ink matches.
Fluorescent blue is a little too dark!

I bought the 12-pack of fluorescent blue when it was only $5.99, but looks like the price went up since then. I personally didn't need to buy this many, but I couldn't find this color by itself in any other bulk sizes. The fluorescent blue is actually a lot more opaque than I was expecting, so I only use it to highlight underlined terms or important information in my notes. I removed a star because the coloration is just too dark to completely highlight a word -- it makes it harder to read, which is the complete opposite of what a highlighter should be doing! However, I do prefer the blue to yellow because it seems like the blue is more resistant to pencil lead and pen streaks because it's so saturated.
4 stars because I love this shade of blue and it makes note taking just a bit more enjoyable when you use your favorite color!
