Farberware brand has been synonymous in our family for as long as I can remember. My mother had Farberware, my sister and I have Farberware and our children will ALL have Farberware products in their households. I even snagged all my mother's Farberware pots when she passed away and still use them to this day. I just bought my grandson's wife her first set of Farberware pots and pans for Christmas. She called me immediately when she opened the huge box I sent to her in Canada and she couldn't stop screaming with delight over her new pots and pans because of the quality, the shape of the handle, and the ease of cooking with them. Yes, she had already started cooking in them when she called me. I bought her a starter set - one 0.625 quarts, Stainless Steel Butter Warmer/Small Saucepan, two 1-quart, two 2-quart, two 3-quart Non-stick Pan/with lid, one 16-quart stock pot/with lid, one Glide Deep Nonstick Frying Pan-12.5 inch, and one Glide Ceramic Nonstick Saute Pan with lid and Helper Handle 4-quart. I know what all of you are thinking right now "“ that this was an expensive purchase on my part. However, when you have a growing family of five and you want to have the best tools/pots to make the best meals for a lifetime "“ you buy Farberware. I'm 69 years old and through the years I've tried a lot of different brands. I've thrown away all the inferior pots and pans (or sold them for pennies on the dollar in garage sales) that advertisers have said were better. I now have nothing but Farberware in my kitchen cabinets for superior-quality cooking and ease of cleanup. So, if you want a "work-horse" set of pots and pans that will stand the test of time "“ buy Farberware "“ I highly recommend them. - enough said!

So, I got this for making a cup of tea using an induction cooktop.

I tried to use my Duxtop and it began to heat then not then heat then not then heat then not. Perhaps the size or shape of the internal coil. I even tried moving it around the top but meh....NOGO.

The Amazon branded induction cooktop works like a charm. Pot, teabag, water, on, temp, 440f, 4 min HOT TEA.

The pot pours perfectly no mess into the tea mug and rinses easily in the sink. Handle and pot as solid enough to go from hot water boiler to hammer for nails. :-)

I make candles for a hobby, and just recently started making colored beeswax candles for the holidays. Which meant I needed a wax pot for each color. So I got this to use in a double boiler setup for my green candles. The first thing I noticed was how VERY sturdy it is, and I love the pour spout. Granted, I'm right handed, so lefties like my husband will probably be disappointed with the location of the pour spout. It doesn't hold a ton of liquid, but I can get 16 oz of beeswax in it. I use this pot to pour little green tealights, so I don't want a big huge wax pot with a lot of wax, which can be harder to pour accurately. I have another similar sized sauce pot (for my red beeswax) which I also bought from Amazon earlier this year, and it is noticeably lighter weight than this one. So if I had it to do over again, I would have bought two of these instead of first buying a cheaper one.
