This is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever wasted money on
ToddNovember 7, 2017
I pick my tools based on research, time tested names and reviews. This is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever wasted money on. The hydraulic lift broke within a week. If you raise the machine onto the provided block for more clearance, you lose the function of setting the depth on the baseplate. Delta service dept. was completely useless as their tech support has NO clue about what machine I was even talking about, they actually had to google it. The collar to mortise ratio was so tight I could barely get the bits out of the collar. I wish I didn't waste my money on this piece of crap.

I cannot in good conscience recommend another Delta product

Have owned it for about a month now. Have mortised a total of 6 holes. Hydraulic assist snapped. Collar guide for drill bit has pulled out. Project clamp snapped after the second use. Between the entire stand and base being made from pot metal, not even steel nor any form of quality control, I cannot in good conscience recommend another Delta product.

Easy to assemble parts

First piece of shop equipment bought in many years. It will replace my current mortise machine. Easy to assemble parts. It is a heavy piece for it's size. Base appears to be very stable. Not the most expensive mortise machine, but at the top end for similar machines in this price range. When I was in woodworking machine I sold many of these. It will be used extensively in my furniture making hobby.
