If you are considering doing any laminate work this is a must have tool. You will pay for this in the material and time you will save by being able to cut exact wide strips and not have any waste. My lack of starting my cabinet re-facing job without this cost me an additional $110. I started cutting by hand and was having waste and needing to trim every piece when place on the cabinets (very time consuming). I purchased this and was able to cut precise pieces and eliminated at least 95% of all the trimming. I had figured the correct amount of laminate based on precise cuts but came up short because of the amount that I had over cut by hand. My mistake of not starting the job with this cost me a $110 plus wasted time trimming.

As a remodeler, this saves time and frustration of having to rip band edging and backsplash on a table saw. Able to cut edge banding on site. I do quite a bit of Formica replacements on counters due to tenants setting hot pots and pans down on the Formica and burning is. HIGHLY recommend.

This product work great. I was able to cut the laminate to the exact size I wanted very quickly. I was even able to make some small 3/16 width sections by taking a larger width piece and cut off just a sliver to go on a back splash that was I was not able to remove. Worth every penny .

How did I ever do laminate with out this? Not as well for sure. Combined with the MA72500 by Klenk and a J-roller you can get it done.

You know how it's a nice surprise when something works as well as it is supposed to? Well, this laminate slitter is even better than that! First of all, when you take it out of the box, you can tell it is extremely well made. Solid. Take a moment to read the instructions and set your adjustments, and then get to work! It cuts narrow strips of laminate material from sheets with almost no effort. You do need to remember to keep it firmly pressed to the edge while cutting, I let my mind wander and ended up with a piece I couldn't use. I am not a professional, and this is clearly a professional level tool. But if you are doing your own kitchen or bathroom countertops, this slitter is a small price to pay for simplifying an otherwise difficult aspect of the job, and you will save more than enough by doing it yourself to justify it. Besides, it is a joy to use something that works so well! Be aware that this tool is only for cutting the narrow strips used on the facing edges of your counters, and it is not able to cut pieces more than a couple of inches wide, and it is not for cutting along a line, and definitely not for cutting around corners. This Is definitely a specific-use tool, but it excels at that specific use!
