My wife uses funnels for her home brewed ice tea; no problems so far.

It is a funnel. Straight forward. Easy to use. Easy to clean. The large funnel fits into the tall Otis swing top bottles I use for kombucha, but doesn't fit into the mouth of the short swing top bottles.

First I will say that I have given these funnels a five star rating not because they are the greatest things in the world, but because they are the best funnels I have ever owned.

The advertising for these funnels that talks about the ribs that allow air to vent from the destination container is true, although they don't provide a LARGE amount of space between the funnel and the inside of what you are using for a destination. But the space they provide IS quite adequate for the purpose intended.

They balance well on the top of a destination container as they don't have a large handle on one side that would tend to weigh one side down. The small thumb-hold and the ribs for venting are made of a substance more like rubber than the plastic body of the funnels. Which makes them easier to handle. NO fumbling with THESE babies!

The outside of the funnels are a textured plastic which gives them the TINIEST bit more traction for handling them, while the inside of the funnels are VERY smooth and slick making for easier cleaning.

At first I was the tiniest bit confused about where the strainer was supposed to go or how it was supposed to work, and THEN discovered that in the larger of the two funnels are three small nubs that allow you to "snap" the strainer into place. These "nubs" are NOT present in the smaller unit. The strainer is very useful for straining the detritus of frying french fries from the oil they were fried in (or anything remotely similar that require a straining action) although the holes in the strainer are large enough that they allow SMALL particles to pass through. It would NOT work well for loose leaf tea ...

Overall, I've got to say that I am extremely satisfied with these funnels, as I think that all aspects of what a funnel should be and do have been well thought out and executed. Anybody not satisfied with these funnels is just TOO picky to live ...

Quality product.

The funnel is as stated. It has a rubber tab that is sturdy and no slip to hold when pouring. It is a good size and not small at all. I bought it to fill up water bottles and since its large you can really pour a lot in at a time. It washes well in the dishwasher with no problem. You have to be careful when pouring using the little filter to keep chunky foods out as its not fixed and will move around if pouring fast. I like that the filter has a little handle that sticks up for easy removal and it filters well. I have looked at a lot of funnels on Amazon and I'm so glad I found this one!
