I was skeptical about this pitcher at first, because I've used a different brand before for quite some time. This pitcher is wonderful, it stays clean very well and water gets cold quickly and easily while refrigerated. It does not take long for water to filter. The only part that was frustrating at first was that the spout on the pitcher does not move while pouring water. This is easy to fix by just lifting the triangular spout cover yourself!

Works great! I used one out of the 3 so far and didn't have any issues with it (other reviewers said water would get clogged but didn't run into that issue). Individually wrapped. Water tastes great (still love PUR way better than Brita)!
There's supposed to be a recycle program for these cartridges, but isn't available yet. It's a shame we have to put the used ones in the trash.

This filter replacement was very easy to install into my PUR 18 cup water dispenser. It came with easy to follow directions, and in no time, I was able to filter my water quickly. Water that ran through it tasted nothing but crisp and clean.
I have to admit that before I had these PUR filters, I would drink bottled water or would go to a specialized water store to get gallon refills. I'm really glad that I made the switch to a more green practice of drinking filtered tap water. At first, I was worried about the taste, but PUR does a really great job.
I would recommend these. I won't be going back to buying water bottles in bulk or visiting water stores for gallon refills. I love the convenience that these filters give me. They're super convenient, easy to use, and are relatively inexpensive for what you get. They can filter water quickly and last a while.

Once you pour the water from the sink faucet into the PUR 2 -STAGE Pitcher; I would suggest to allow the water sit in the pitcher overnight to allow it to become nice and cold! if this was wine; you would allow it to breathe. next pour yourself a glass of water and be surprised at how great your water taste! The PUR 2 FILTRATION SYSTEM ALSO HELPS MAKE GREAT COFFEE!

I bought a 4 pack of these filters in January of this year and these filters DO NOT work like the original filter I received when I purchased the 18 cup dispenser. I just looked at the reviews and see that I am not the only one having problems with these filters working properly. I will try some of the suggestions I read but don't think I should have to bang and shake these things to get them to work the way they are supposed to work in the first place! I paid $21.00 for a four pack of these filters thru Amazon and everyone of them seems to be defective....I did purchase one from Wal-Mart last year and it worked fine, so maybe there is some truth to the four pack theory of quality control....seems like with the number of complaints for this product Amazon would look into it?
