Okay if you are displaying something light and NOT fragile

The legs don't spread out far enough to make this stand feel very stable--I certainly would not put anything heavy on it or anything that, if it fell, could be damaged. Also the little feet that hold the bottom of the frame or whatever you are displaying are angled backward--so the frame ends up resting directly against the front bars--making it even more unstable.
A waste of money!

These easels are very flimsy. I bought two of them and I tried to display 8.5" X 11" frames on them at a presentation, and they kept falling down. I was at the presentation, had to remove the frames and hold them up to the audience, and then as I attempted to replace the frames on to the easels while I was speaking, they fell down. The easels collapsed, dropping the frames on the table, creating a disturbance to my presentation. It left me in an awkward position, fumbling to put the frames back on to the easels while trying desperately to make them stand up. If you have something lightweight, like a laminated sheet, maybe they will hold up, but don't depend on it.

Used this to display a plaque. Fairly sturdy. The arms that hold the object could be wrapped in some felt or other material as to not damage any artwork displayed in them. Other than that no complaints
Cheap Junk!
BobD•December 3, 2016
This easel is a piece of junk - Amazon should be ashamed of themselves for even selling it. First of all, the legs flop around loosely as you attempt to set it up, and they do NOT lock into the open position. Secondly, they really don't open far enough to make the easel stable - it would take very little to knock the thing over once it's set up. And lastly, the display supports are cheap plastic things that fold down and snap in the open position, but you can lock them anywhere on the leg - individually of each other - making it rather difficult to open and lock them at the same height so the item on display sits level. And if all that wasn't bad enough, because it's an "add-on item", when I tried using the online return process, I was told the item isn't eligible for returns. I then searched around - read about add-on items, read the return policy in the help section, and there's NO mention of not being able to return add-on items. Uggh!
Flimsy but okay

For the price, these are nice. I bought these for my budget-conscious school to use at fairs and conventions for displaying school info. If it's a "set it and forget it" deal for you, these are fine. However, if you are planning to use these in an area of high traffic with the potential of being knocked over/handled a lot, these might not be for you. I didn't realize these would be so flimsy - you have to achieve just the perfect balance when using them. There is really no tension in the rods - you're essentially getting 3 metal sticks joined together at the top with a piece that will prevent them from separating too far. Again, fine for light use, but if you need something a little sturdier, these are not for you. For the price, they will be fine for us.
