I bought this for my husband as a gift because of a similar arcade game he played at the beach as a kid. He loved the idea of the game. Unfortunately, as expected by the cost, it is constructed somewhat poorly and took some effort on our end to get it playable. The bat feels like it's going to break any given moment and the spring that "˜pitches' the ball was disconnected upon arrival and had to be repaired. But it made him smile to reminisce and that's what mattered. Not sure I would buy this for a child who actually expects to get real use out of it though.

We purchased this for our grandson for Christmas, and it was so difficult and poorly designed that not even my son nor husband could play it. Amazon was great and refunded our purchase price, but I would not recommend this game to anyone. It was the biggest disappointment at Christmas.

my kids were so excited and loved it.. but the "knob" that strikes the ball in to play broke the first time it was used - it stuck and won't unstick. will try to get a replacement because my kids love it so much (10 and 8, both boys).

Very nice game for the price. My 5 and 7 yr. old grandboys love it. The walls are removable and if you want them to be rock solid all it would take is a little wood glue. I got a returned one from Amazon for under $11 but it is certainly worth $20. It's a great alternative to electronic games.
