Great investement
Brett Ashton•September 8, 2017
A great investment when you consider that for the price of six or seven batteries for a Celestron SE mount will pay for it. I don't even have a transformer to power my scope. I just charge this thing up and it's plenty power to last all night. Haven't tested it with heaters attached but it runs the mount just fine.
Okay but not great, will last about 3 years

Whether or not you like the Celestron Power Tank, not much else out there to power your portable telescope. I've gone through 3 of these power tanks over the last 10 years, manufacture is okay but battery choice by the manufacturer needs to be revisited. I guess for the price, every three years recycling isn't too bad.
Astronomy or Emergency
JEKeyes•June 22, 2017
Works perfect for operation of your celestron telescope, charging your cell phone and lighting the way back down the mountain after a night of astrophotography. I would suggest this even if you don't have the telescope. Has multiple connections to power anything up to 10 amps. 2 usb, two car cigarette lighter holes, straight wire terminals. Two flashlights, LEDs and incandescent. A perfect emergency power supply.
Incredibly Useful Product
T. J. Brodeur•May 13, 2017
This has been an excellent addition to my astronomy experience. I love that I don't have to worry about battery life or running extensions out when I'm setting up my telescope. The red light is extremely useful for providing a bit of utility lighting while setting up also.
I haven't used the spot much, but it is BRIGHT. Definitely capable of providing as much light as you'd need.

Epic Power for Small Astrophotography Gear
Ember of the Great River People•April 7, 2017
I bought one after a fellow astrophotographer told me about his.
I have charged it one time in many months of use.
It runs my Skywatcher Star Adventurer all night on a single charge with no issues.
