This knife block is contemporary and takes up much less room than many others.
Looks sharp!

My wife loves this knife block as it matches our kitchen. She hated the original dark brown wood block that came with our Zwilling Pro knife set. The only drawback is that the accordion insert does not work very well for knives with angled bolsters, like the set I have. The handles want to lean into/away from each other so I have to alternate how they face in the block. But I knew that was going to happen before I bought it. If I could find a replacement insert, I would experiment with cutting the edges to match the angle of the knife bolsters so they would stand straight out.

And as others have said, you should keep your heavier knives towards the top so that it does not want to tip over. I bought suction feet to try on the bottom of the stand, but they do not work on the textured under surface.
Excellent knife holder

Excellent knife holder. Have had many different types - wood, silicon blocks. This is great as it is at an angle (perfect for different size knives) and the internal sheaf system works great to separate your knives. Used it to replace a Henkel block recently.
your best bet is to put all the heaviest knives towards ...

Not sure where the "tipping" issues are coming from as mine has a collection of over a dozen knives ranging from 150mm prep to 270 mm Gyoto. Also has smaller paring knives and a set of shears. And all have been rock solid in the stand. As previous reviewers have noted, your best bet is to put all the heaviest knives towards the top/back. Otherwise, a great replacement to my traditional wood block that was not adequate for the collection of knives I have.

Elegant, fabulous, easy to clean. Owned one 10 years and I just bought another to give as a wedding gift; it was appreciated as the typical knife block did not cut-it for their modern new kitchen.
It takes up very little room so it is great for a small kitchen.
