I can't say how well they work yet because we bought them for camping and haven't been since. The reason we bought them was because I carmelized some onions for sandwiches and placed them in a plastic container we use all the time at home. At home it doesn't get stored upside down or sideways or juggled around while looking for other items so I wasn't worried. Unfortunately, the container did leak and there was a film of olive oil and the odor of onions over everything. When we got home, my husband said, "We have to have more secure containers to use just for camping." Voila. I found these and they are attractive and appear to be very secure. Result: Husband Happy. I am not worried about leakage with these and am looking forward to using them.
The best there is for all storage needs.

When they say these are air tight, and water tight, they mean it. I have used them for years in the pantry, in the frig., and in the freezer with no issues. Never freezer burn on frozen foods.

These are baby lock&locks. I love them for single people like me with those dabs of leftovers. I am throwing out much less food, not that I can easily store that half cup of cous cous and a serving of mashed potatoes for the next dinner. Great! These are also wonderful in the pantry for those items I buy at the whole food store, like a cup of pecans from the bulk section, or a packet of loose-leaf tea. I use them for travel when I know I'll have my yogurt, juice, and fruit ready for my morning meals in motels. I have a full suite of Lock&Lock sizes, and I wasn't sure I could use these, but I'm very happy with them, and may need more.

We love Lock & Lock containers!! I have a tub of them just for camping. We pre-make most of our food while camping (broccoli cheese soup, beanie weenies, chili, etc.), and then freeze them to help keep the cooler nice a cold. These work great for it. And I love the different sizes and shapes - choices for pre-made french toast batter, condiments, and two versus four of us going. We use the larger ones to store pre-bottled condiments (like ketchup and mayo) so they don't get lost in the large cooler. So much better than glass containers, and they do not leak.
