it works be aware bolts are short
L. Taylor•July 13, 2018
the winch strap fits perfect as expected. the two boltss provided were not long enough to mount the strap in my winch. luckily I had other bolt to make it work. the hook is not stainless steel so be aware if you are in a environmental area with a lot of potential for rust. otherwise it's a good product for the price.
The hook worked fine on my 16 foot aluminum Fisher

I actually did not use all of the strap. I cut off 2/3 of the old one and then cut a similar length on the new one and used Gorilla Glue to hold the two pieces together. I don't use that much strap and the junction of the old and new are wrapped beneath several layers of the strap and there is not strain on the junction. The hook worked fine on my 16 foot aluminum Fisher.
Lightweight replacement

Heavy duty hook, but belt stitching is nowhere near as heavy ton the belt I'm replacing, which I installed to replace a belt that popped similar stitching. At least this one came with replacement bolt. Hope I can find HD strap with SS hook for next replacement.
Simple and Fits

Replaced my winch strap for my Grizzly Tracker Boat (1860sc). It only has one clip (my original strap came with two hooks/cliips at the end one for the boat and one for backup/safety connection). Comes with two bolts for attaching strap to cylinder crank but, if you're replacing your strap you can just use your original bolt. Strap was the same width as the original and strap material seems average to a little less than average durability/strength.
Buyer beware.

Had the strap under a month and it snapped today on my way home from the lake. It broke at the where the hook is attached, my only saving grace was a bow chain I use as a back up.Im all my years of towing a boat I've never had a strap break, I try to replace them once they appear to be wearing down, this gave no indication. Just point of fact I'm pulling a approx 3600# four winns horizon 190. I bury the trailer and require little if any cranking and torque on the strap, not sure what happened. I didn't even notice until I unhooked the boat from my truck to store it, bow chain saved the day. I will not buy again and do not recommend.
