Best CA glue I've found.
Renaissance ManJanuary 1, 2018
I like Bob Smith's glues and have used most all of them.
I keep a few viscosities on hand at any one time as well as accelerator and have yet to be disappointed.
Among their standard glues this has a medium viscosity; it is around if not slightly thicker than water. While they say this is gap filling I've never had much luck spanning gaps. It does offer a little more time than their super-thin glue which can make all the difference in lining things up.
Be sure to use it with their accelerator for great results

I bought this CA glue and the accelerator a couple of years ago and used it successfully on some minor glue jobs. But recently I used it in applications that really mattered. I was assembling a plastic pistol grip clamp assembly that slides over the blower tube of a backpack leaf blower and it broke leaving me holding about 1/4 of the clamp in my hand. I think it was a defective mold job. Rather than wait for the replacement part I decided to try to glue it with CA glue. The glue surface was about 2 1/2" x 1/16 to 5/32' thick. I didn't have much hope that it would hold being the clamping force would be constantly trying to pull the glued surfaces apart. But it did. After giving it two hours cure time I took the blower outside and used it for almost an hour with no problem. A few days later I mentioned to my furnace service technician who was on an annual checkup call that an in-line booster fan was making noise that was related to the rotation speed of the fan. After exposing the fan he said the turbine was moving on it's mount and it might be fixed if we could glue it in place. Out came the CA glue and the noise went away. Later I discovered a second in-line booster was also making the same noise so I glued it the same way. Now both fans make no noise. Two days later I was in my yard and I accidentally bumped a water heater vent pipe and it broke off at the base where it exited the house. This time it was only 28 deg outside and I was afraid the glue would not work in that temperature so I brought the broken piece into the house to warm it before applying the CA glue to the broken end. In this case as with the other glue jobs I sprayed the accelerator on the opposite face to be glued. I mated the broken piece to the part that extended from the house, held it for 10 seconds and it held. From this experience I cannot give this product anything but the highest rating I can. It is absolutely great. My one recommendation it that you use it with the accelerator because I don't know what the results would have been without it.
Works great most of the time.

I have bought around 20 bottles over the years. Careful not to get it on your skin. Most bottles setup in a few seconds, others take 15-20 seconds. Not sure why. Perhaps over time the glue degrades? The glue does out gas/leave a film on your table/product. Don't glue anything and then package/wrap it up until it has cured overnight. It will leave a film on your piece. I use it for many things including gluing magnets on the back of wood or acrylic for a fridge magnet. I leave it magnet side up to "air out". If you leave it magnet side down it will leave a permanent stain/film on the table.
My go-to adhesive for unconventional material bonds!

Insta-cure gap filling 2oz Bob Smith Ind.

I first encountered this magic stuff when I swiped a bottle from my husbands model ship building supplies. Needless to say, he never got it back!

I love and adore my Insta Cure - here's why: I often find myself attempting to bond the ODDEST things together.

Rubber + wood? No problem.
Plastic + paper? Yep.
Apoxie Sculpt + Polymer Clay? Absolutely.

Plus, I've discovered that when paired with FabriTac Adhesive, this creates a bond that I TRUST over time to hold heavy and awkward items together.

One of my very favorite uses: saturating the edges of cut and laminated layers of chipboard. Once the Insta Cure has dried, the chipboard becomes almost wood-like in it's ability to be shaped with sanding. Fantastic - no more fuzzy and fraying layers of paper fiber!

The additional working time, coupled with the almost gel consistency have made me a fan for LIFE!

I have an outdoor metal/glass/stone sculpture garden. Metal/glass sculptures require repair every summer season. I have used Krazy, Gorilla and Loctite glues, and all require numerous applications throughout the summer season. Insta-cure proved to be no different. In fact, for my applications, the only way this glue worked was using a combo of Insta-cure plus Krazy Glue. Big price, under performance. Perhaps it will help in other around the home repair needs.
