Great for a multitude of use cases

I've used these at work for years in my company's electronics lab. I've always wanted one for my home workshop, but hesitated to pull the trigger on the purchase because they are kind of pricey. I finally ordered one and in general I love it.
This is great for electronics work, model building, and any other project where you need extra hands to hold small objects on your workbench. The base is pretty heavy and does a good job of keeping the clamped item from moving around. The jaws do a great job of holding things like circuit boards with the pre-formed slots in the jaw pads. My only complaint about the unit that I received is the jaw threads feel like their narfed up. I can feel uneven tension in certain spots when opening and closing the jaws. Hopefully this will go away over time with more use. I haven't had this problem with any of the units we have at work, so hopefully this isn't the quality control slipping.
My plan is to order a set of quad-arms to add to it for the ultimate setup!

Got this vice on the recommendation of r/lockpicking along with other items to help hold things. It's a nice vice for my needs.
Very useful for Locksport activities

I'm glad that I didn't get scared off by the few negative reviews. All of the parts were there and intact and worked flawlessly. The base is very sturdy and the cast trays around the edges of the base are very convenient for staging picking tools and keys, etc. The jaws are adjustable across a wide range and can be oriented in virtually all angles. I did lubricate the adjustment screws and moving parts with a light lubricant to reduce friction, but overall, it appears to be a good design and good quality of construction. If you're into Locksport or other related activities where a small table vise would be handy, I believe this is a good choice.
Solid base for working on PCB's for soldering and chip/wire manipulation

Its a solid unit with a hefty base. From that we basically use the clamps for the board as we have mounted units already with the flex pipe and alligator clamps. It came in very handy as we need to remove some good chips from an outdated PCB design to relocate them. The flex pipe did not hold the board steady we we melted the solder and used a chip puller to extract.
This bad boy did the job even to to hold the completed box for the next level of testing.
