Was using Clear Care for my RGP lenses. I have severe allergies and ended up with a build up on my lenses the that required me to buy new contacts after 8 years even though my prescription was the same. After realizing it was my allergies that caused me to have to buy new $500 lenses I did a bunch of research and found the Lobob line of contact care. Amazon reviews were promising for what I needed and I have been using my "new" pair of RGP contacts for 2.5 years with Lobob care and alaway allergy eye drops. This reminds me of the old Boston line I used 25 years ago when I first started wearing contacts. Love this brand!

So my eye-doctor told me about lens insertion solution but neglected to inform me that I needed a storage solution also and so I had gone over 2 months without using one. My contacts started to develop white smudges in the center (protein buildup?) that refused to be rinsed or rubbed off. The smudges seemed to make my eyes a lot more sensitive to light. Though my vision itself was clear enough there was a sense of a smear that couldn't be wiped away. Anyway I did some research (googled) and found that a storage/cleaning solution might solve my problem. I bought the Lobob solution and let my contacts soak for a good 8 hours. When I checked on the contacts afterwards they were in pristine condition, all smudges and any cloudiness completely gone. So that was a huge relief and I plan to stock up on more of this product. 5 stars.

The best for sensitive eyes. I have used this for over 15 years since getting RGP lenses for keratoconus. Works great, I tried the Boston solution and developed corneal edema within two months. Went back to Lobob and have had no problems since. The solution is basically a combination of a few surfactants (soaps) so it can make the lenses very slippery and you do need to rinse them well with water after disinfecting.
Also, it can be hard to find in stores, Walgreens generally is the only place I can consistently find it. Be warned that it sometimes goes into short supply online, the the price can jump to crazy levels. The normal price is $11-14 dollars per bottle so I buy a couple of bottles here when the price is right.
Given all that, I still prefer Lobob to anything else I have tried. I do occasionally clean then with the peroxide system, but find they are more comfortable with the Lobob.

As a contact lens wearer since 1977, I have used them all. This is far superior to other cleaners. It seems that my lens are cleaner and more lubricated? Maybe it is because they are just cleaner. Regardless, this is my new cleaner for as long as they keep making it. Please, Amazon continue to carry this product for us lens wearers who have been in search for something like this for years.

I was having a terrible time with my gas-permeables when I was using the Boston brand of cleaners or the various store brand knockoffs. I'd carefully clean and soak the contacts according to directions, but they'd cloud up and become un-usable within moments of being put into my eyes. Thought it was just old contacts, replaced them (expensive, I wear torics) and the new pair had the exact same problem. Desperately googled for solutions, found a reference to this product, figured it was worth a try. Am happy to report this keeps my contacts clean and comfortable with no clouding. Use the multi-product (the one I'm reviewing here) daily, occasionally give it an extra cleaning with their deep cleaning solution.
