A great way to increase daily fiber intake. Tastes just like ground walnuts. I put it in my smoothies.

I took antibiotics which appeared to disrupt my digestive routine. I took Spectrum (the only change in my nutritional routine) and after approximately three weeks I'm right-as-rain. Love this product and they have great customer service.

I purchased two bags of this item based upon the majority of favorable reviews, however, I was personally underwhelmed by this product for two reasons: 1) Taste, and 2) Texture. The taste in my opinion is rather awful. I did not experience a nutty flavor whatsoever despite the package claims, but rather, a bitter and unpalatable flavor instead. The texture was as equally disappointing as the seed mixture was gritty and even tasted dirty. The bags I received contained inconsistently ground flaxseed meal where some portions of the seeds were ground, while others were almost whole, making them too large, hard, and uneasy to swallow. I have purchased and tried less expensive brands and have found the flavor of those brands to indeed be nutty and more consistenly and finely ground than the Spectrum brand. To it's credit, I will say that the Spectrum did appear fresh upon opening (one star) as it smelled amazing, so I am not convinced the taste was or is due to it being rancid. The light-omitting packaging is excellent (one star), though I cannot comment thus far on the resealable zipper portion being problematic as I have not yet incurred any trouble with it. I just cannot recommend this brand due to the simple nature of its horrid taste and texture. One can always improvise on packaging if necessary. I just will not be re-purchasing this brand in the future.

I have had major leg problems for a long time, so I was looking for products that would improve my arteries. Spectrum Flaxseed Meal is the answer to many of my health needs. I wanted something that would also help with cholesterol and low magnesium and I get all theses benefits from this product. My nails are also improving. I put it in my oatmeal, sprinkle on my salads, cereal, even mac and cheese. This is a quality product.
