Niagara Cutter N85526 Carbide Ball Nose End Mill, Inch, Uncoated (Bright) Finish, Roughing and Finishing Cut, 30 Degree Helix, 4 Flutes, 2.5" Overall Length, 0.375" Cutting Diameter, 0.375" Shank Diameter

Key features
- •Four flutes produce a better finish than fewer flutes and can machine material twice as fast as two-flute end mills in some applications
- •Ball nose end mills (also called ball end) create contoured surfaces
- •Center-cutting design allows the end mill to plunge into material like a drill bit while also performing conventional surface milling
- •Uncoated (bright) tools have no additional surface treatment or coating for general-purpose applications
- •Carbide can run at higher speeds than high-speed steel, resisting abrasion and high cutting temperatures

Poor quality product
Todd A.✓ Verified Purchase•November 13, 2016
Originally ordered and arrived in apparent good condition. Placed the end mill bit in my CNC mill and immediately on spin up the bit snapped (before even touching material). As a result I ordered a replacement end mill bit since the first must have been defective. When a replacement one finally arrived (was on backorder) the replacement bit was already broken in its packaging despite being in a proper bit holder.
This is a poor quality product, don't waste your time with it. After returning the first one I found another made by Kyocera that appears to be of superior quality and i have been using it heavily for the last week with no issues. Already ordering more of their end mill bits.
